Simplification of EU official documents

Since February 2019 the EU Regulation on the simplification of the presentation of official documents, has entered into force. This means basically that a EU national can ask his commune of residency/origin to issue an official document in two languages: the language of the country where the document has been issued and the language of the country where the document will be used. Equally, the municipalities have the obligation to accept those documents and use them in the many administrative Civil Registry related procedures.
